Free Clubs

Learn how to get more from your machine as well as enjoy friendships around sewing.
Own an Accuquilt but are afraid to use it? This club is for you. Come in on the third Wednesday of the month and join us in sharing projects and discussing tricks of the trade. Each month a new block or technique will be demonstrated. Just show up for some fun. **THERE WILL BE NO ACCUCLUB IN FEBRUARY or MARCH.

Learn about threads, stabilizers, needles, design combinations, and the effects of embroidery on different fabrics and fibers. See a new project each month on the fourth Wednesday of each month, and be inspired about your own embroidery . THERE WILL BE NO EMBROIDERY CLUB IN DECEMBER.

A club for quilters of all levels. Learn new techniques from fellow club members as well as show 'n tell your own project. Learn how to make a different project each month, on the second Wednesday of the month, and receive the instructions to go home and do it! **NO QUILT CLUB IN JANUARY

We are so excited to be offering a new set of classes aimed at helping you create one of a kind garments that will actually fit you. Janice is a certified Palmer/Pletsch Fit and Sewing instructor and has been teaching this method for over 20 years. This first in a series, two-day class, will focus on learning how to take proper measurements, determine which pattern size to purchase and then altering those patterns to fit you personally. You will also learn different looks using that same pattern. You will have fun and be amazed at all you will learn. A $10 deposit is required to sign up, and an additional $50 will be paid to the instructor at the time of the class.

Now that you have made that perfectly fitted shirt pattern, you will learn the concept of "fitting as we sew." Each person will be sewing a new top using their new altered pattern. During this class, Janice will be focusing on sewing and serging techniques so that your new garment will not only fit great, but will look great too. In this two-day class, Kathy Carter-Sweet, a Judy Niemeyer certified teacher, will be making this paper piecing class a breeze. A wedding ring quilt is always such a special gift for someone, or for yourself. Judy's pattern makes this process so easy. You will be strip piecing the rings, so if you would like just a taste or you are ready for the whole cake, there is a size for you. Also covered is curved binding so that you will be able to finish your project with a special touch.

Learn the basics of free-motion quilting in a hands-on, supportive class. You will cover sewing machine set-up, strategies for success, and five basic designs that do not require marking. This is a first class for beginners. In this five week course, you will learn how to use the rotary cutter, how to piece accurately by finding the perfect quarter inch, and the correct way to iron your blocks.

If you are a newbie to the sewing world, this class is for you. You do not need a machine to take this class, we can have a machine for you to work on. Here, you will learn how to choose and coordinate fabrics, measure and cut, sew and finish seams with this fun and simple project. This Quick and Easy Pillowcase is sew much fun to make, you will want to make them for friends and family.

If you have taken "Project Pillowcase" and are ready to move to the next step, or, if you have a basic understanding of sewing (i.e., you know how to use your machine and have done some general sewing), this class is for you. This class revolves around making a pair of pajama bottoms. You will learn about the grain of fabric, laying out and cutting a pattern then sewing together.

Bring whatever you need Debi's help with. Are you on that embroidery project you need some advice with, or do you need a second opinion on how to get that project or technique just right? Learn Edge-to-Edge Quilting using Amelie Scott Designs, on this fun tote bag project. You will learn precise/design positioning, but you will already be using Christine's PDC (pretty darn close) method. One simple stippling stitch is available free at class. If you would prefer one of her other patterns, she has almost 100 to choose from, those will be available for purchase at the time of class. Each design pack has 10 designs, 3 different sizes from 5.6" x 9.9" - 7.8" x 13.8". No one pattern is more difficult than the other.
