Machine Classes

Get to know your machine classes are offered free as a bonus for buying your sewing machine from Village Sewing. Machine classes can be taken as many times as you like at no charge or until machine is obsolete

Free Clubs

Learn how to get more from your machine as well as enjoy friendships around sewing.
Own an Accuquilt but are afraid to use it? This club is for you. Come in on the third Wednesday of the month and join us in sharing projects and discussing tricks of the trade. Each month a new block or technique will be demonstrated. Just show up for some fun.

Learn about threads, stabilizers, needles, design combinations, and the effects of embroidery on different fabrics and fibers. See a new project each month on the fourth Wednesday of each month, and be inspired about your own embroidery .

A club for quilters of all levels. Learn new techniques from fellow club members as well as show 'n tell your own project. Learn how to make a different project each month, on the second Wednesday of the month, and receive the instructions to go home and do it!

Learn to cut and piece accurately, make your own binding, and quilt your entire project. *To reserve your space, a $10 non-refundable deposit is required, with the remainder $75 paid to the teacher at the time of class with either check or cash.

In the software and hooping clinic, you will mark and hoop the top five embroiderables: onesies, left-chest, towels, napkins and continuous embroidery. We have combined the Anita Workshop with the dime series Towel of The Month class. We will use a free download from dime "Word Art in Stitches Embroidery" software. The Anita workshop is embroidered stationery. Time for some word fun! All models of embroidery machines are welcome in this class.

This is a first class for beginners. In this five week course, you will learn how to use the rotary cutter, how to piece accurately by finding the perfect quarter inch, and the correct way to iron your blocks.

If you are a newbie to the sewing world, this class is for you. You do not need a machine to take this class, we can have a machine for you to work on. Here, you will learn how to choose and coordinate fabrics, measure and cut, sew and finish seams with this fun and simple project. This Quick and Easy Pillowcase is sew much fun to make, you will want to make them for friends and family.

If you have taken "Project Pillowcase" and are ready to move to the next step, or, if you have a basic understanding of sewing (i.e., you know how to use your machine and have done some general sewing), this class is for you. This class revolves around making a pair of pajama bottoms. You will learn about the grain of fabric, laying out and cutting a pattern then sewing together.

Expect this to be a fun, creative, beginner-friendly, out-of-the-box class. You do not need to have any quilting skills besides a basic knowledge of how to do freehand machine quilting on your home sewing machine, nor do you need to be a recognized artist.
